Q&A
Questions people actually ask.
The things most studios bury in fine print or leave you to find out after you've committed.
Getting started
If you're a business owner who wants someone to think about your business — not just execute a brief — and you want to see your homepage before you commit to anything, you're probably in the right place. Book a free call and we'll figure it out in 30 minutes.
Mostly small to medium businesses — owner-operated or small teams where the owner is still across the detail. Large enterprises with procurement processes and committee approvals aren't the right fit for how I work.
Yes. A redesign or rebuild is often where the biggest gains are. If your current site isn't generating enquiries or doesn't reflect where your business is now, that's worth fixing. Send me the URL when you get in touch — I'll look at it before we talk.
No. If it's not a good fit — wrong budget, wrong timeline, wrong type of project — I'll tell you. I'd rather point you in a better direction than take a project where I can't deliver what I'd be proud of.
The Build
A real, working homepage — your brand colours, your headline, your message, the front door to your business. It's not a mockup or a PDF. It's a live link you can click through and share. You give feedback, I refine it, and the full build starts once you're happy with the direction.
Yes — and it helps. If you have copy, photos, or a clear idea of what you want to say, bring it. If you don't, I'll work with what you have and ask the right questions. I can help shape and improve content, but you know your business better than I do.
If you're on the Care Plan, message me — it's included. If you're not, I'll quote a small update fee depending on scope. Simple content changes are quick and cheap. Structural changes take more time.
Every site I build has strong SEO foundations — fast loading, mobile-first, clean structure, proper meta and schema setup. But ranking takes time and depends on your market, your content, and how competitive your industry is. I'll be honest about what's realistic for your situation.
AI integrations
The two things I build most are: AI assistants trained on your business — embedded in your site, able to answer customer questions, qualify leads, and handle enquiries 24/7; and AI connected to your existing business data, surfacing the information and patterns that are currently buried in spreadsheets or systems you can't easily interrogate. Both of these are practical, available now, and solve real problems for the right businesses. Where other automation fits — email workflows, booking systems, document handling — we assess that together. If it's outside what I can deliver well, I'll say so.
Businesses where the owner is answering the same questions repeatedly, or where customer enquiries come in after hours and either wait until morning or don't get answered at all. An AI assistant on your site handles that without you. Equally, businesses sitting on data they can't easily use — job histories, customer records, operational figures — where the right AI setup turns that into something you can actually query and act on.
No. An AI assistant can be added to an existing site, or set up as a standalone tool that works alongside your current setup. Often a new site and an AI tool make sense together — but if the site is fine and it's the automation you need, we start there.
The strategy call is where we work that out. I'm not going to recommend something that won't move the needle — if the honest answer is that you don't need it yet, I'll tell you. The businesses that get the most value are the ones with a specific, repetitive problem: the same questions asked over and over, leads going cold overnight, data that's inaccessible. If that sounds familiar, it's worth a conversation.
The Care Plan
The Care Plan means I'm actively watching your site — not waiting for you to notice a problem. I'll catch issues before they affect you, keep the site performing well, and make content updates as your business changes. Calling when something breaks means delays, separate quotes, and starting from scratch every time.
No lock-in contract. Month to month. Cancel with a month's notice. I'd rather earn your business every month than trap you in something that isn't working.
The site is yours. If you move on from the Care Plan, I'll hand over everything you need to manage it yourself or transfer it to another provider. No hostage situations.
Working together
Mostly email and video calls. You message me, I reply. No project management tools that require you to learn a new system.
Your time at the start — the strategy call and homepage review are the two moments where I need your full attention. After that, most of the work is on my end. Expect to review the homepage preview, give feedback, and approve the direction before the full build begins.
Yes. Everything is done online — strategy call via video, homepage preview shared as a link, build and launch handled remotely. Time differences are fine; most of the work is async.
